Plant Seeds
Galatians 6:8 (NIV)"Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life."
It amazes me how God works in His own time. Regardless of what I think is right, His way is always better! When we do it our way, we always miss stuff. I don't know where God is taking me, but I know what he has brought me through. When I look back at my life, even at the times that I "took matters into my own hands," I see His hand all over. Things were not going awry, He just was trying to stir me in a different direction, since I prayed for Him to help me. Now I look at my daughter, who's about to graduate high school and go to college. She loves Jesus so much! She has Him as the center of her life and wants nothing more than to please Him. God entrusted me with her life, and He guided me to place her in places that would create opportunities to encounter Him and see Him. The most amazing thing is that it was not me, God used a village to make this happen. The multitude of people that poured into her life, influenced her, right or wrong, but she chose Jesus. When I feel that I don't have the ability to influence anyone, I look at her. It is not about changing someone. It is about planting a seed in their garden because a garden is not one flower but thousands. We all should plant seeds in every person we encounter, some more than others. Some we might have to tend to the garden for a bit like our children, or a friend going through a rough time. When we look at our life and see our garden, we will see all the seeds from all the people in our lives. We just have to pull the weeds. Remember, it does take a village, so don't do life alone!
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
